Trama
Garrett Blake, da quando sua moglie è morta, fa vita ritirata riparando e costruendo barche. Theresa Osborne è una ricercatrice del "Chicago Tribune", divorziata e con un figlio. Un giorno, facendo jogging, trova sulla spiaggia una bottiglia con un messaggio d'amore firmato "G". La donna resta colpita dal testo e, senza volerlo, fa nascere un caso giornalistico al punto di essere incaricata dell'individuazione del misterioso "G". Scopre Garrett e i due si innamorano ma qualcosa impedirà il lieto fine.
