Trama
Da un lato la pellicola, dall’altro la tecnologia digitale. Oggi, nella pratica cinematografica, coesistono “fianco a fianco” due tecniche che rappresentano anche due universi, due modi di concepire la natura e il mestiere delle immagini in movimento. Dopo cent’anni di sistemi analogici, la rivoluzione digitale in atto fa sì che di colpo ogni idea divenga realizzabile. Ma a che prezzo? Partendo da questa domanda, il film costruisce una riflessione sul presente e sul futuro del cinema, delle sue tecniche, delle sue estetiche e della sua etica, in un montaggio di voci e di pensieri in cui compaiono tra gli altri Scorsese, Boyle, Soderbergh, Cameron, Rodriguez, Fincher, Schumacher, Von Trier, Lucas, Lynch, intervistati da Keanu Reeves, interlocutore d’eccezione anche coproduttore del film.
