Trama
New York, anni '70. Determinato a uscire dall'ombra del potente padre e a farsi un nome nel settore immobiliare di Manhattan, l’aspirante magnate Donald J. Trump agli inizi della sua carriera incontra l'uomo che diventerà una delle figure più importanti della sua vita: il faccendiere Roy Cohn. Vedendo del potenziale in Trump, il controverso avvocato — che aveva ottenuto le condanne per spionaggio contro Julius ed Ethel Rosenberg e aveva investigato sui sospetti comunisti insieme al senatore McCarthy — insegna al suo nuovo allievo come accumulare ricchezza e potere con l'inganno, l'intimidazione e la manipolazione mediatica.
