Trama
Una beffa che gli attori della Comédie Française giocano al collega inglese Garrick (il più grande interprete shakespeariano del diciottesimo secolo, realmente esistito) rischia di mandare a carte quarantotto la sua bella storia d'amore con una nobile damigella. Per fortuna, l'inglese troverà il modo di chiarire ogni cosa con l'amante.
