Trama
A Jane Morton, psichiatra di Dublino in profondo lutto per la morte accidentale del marito e del figlio, viene assegnato il caso di Dorothy Mills, una adolescente di un piccolo centro che ha tentato di strangolare un bambino. Sopravvissuta miracolosamente a un incidente d'auto, Jane scopre un villaggio in preda a strani eventi prima di imbattersi in Dorothy, ritenuta da lei affetta da disturbo di personalità multipla. Gli eventi prenderanno una piega diversa nel momento in cui Dorothy parlerà con la voce di David, il figlio morto della psichiatra.
