Trama
Durante la guerra nel Vietnam Stanley affida Herman, un ragazzo povero di Harem, alle cure dello zio, il burbero Abel Shaddick. All'inizio Abel, che si divide tra la sua bottega e i ricordi del figlio morto al fronte, rifiuta il piccolo. Inaspettatamente tra i due nasce un forte legame ma un tragico evento cambierà per sempre il corso delle loro vite.
