Trama
La storia vera di Loretta Lynn, figlia di un minatore del Kentucky divenuta una delle più famose cantanti country d'America: il matrimonio con un ragazzo avversato dalla famiglia, la difficile maturazione della giovane coppia, la nascita dei figli. E un bel giorno la svolta, le prime canzoni nei locali, le incisioni, il successo. Parabola forse fin troppo nitida del sogno americano.
