Trama
Larry Doc Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) è un detective privato della Los Angeles del 1969. Dipendente dalle droghe e dai metodi insoliti, Sportello viene contattato da un'ex amante per risolvere un interessante caso che, tra miriadi di azioni criminali, riguarda un'infedeltà coniugale ma anche le istituzioni mentali e un gruppo di poliziotti chiamati Bigfoot.
