Trama
Durante la Prima guerra mondiale, nella squadriglia più aristocratica dell’aviazione tedesca è fortissima la rivalità fra il tenente Bruno Stachel e Willi von Klugerman. Il primo aspira alla croce azzurra, l’altro, figlio di un generale, l’ha già ricevuta. I due si sfidano sia nelle questioni di cuore, sia nelle prodezze d’aviazione militare e acrobatica. La loro contesa, durante una battaglia con il nemico, giunge ad esiti tragici.
