Trama
New Orleans, 1959. Il governatore Earl Long, 65 anni, è uno spregiudicato demagogo, ammiratore di belle donne, ma anche fautore di una politica antisegregazionista che gli procura nemici. Questi, approfittando di una sua scandalosa relazione con la spogliarellista Blaze, lo spediscono in manicomio. Ne esce più combattivo che mai, grazie anche al sostegno di Blaze, ma non regge alle nuove battaglie.
