Trama
Nella prospera Città D'Oro, in un non meglio precisato Medio Oriente, l'umile calzolaio Tacco si trova a venire alle mani con un ladro entrato nella sua bottega e finisce addosso al Gran Visir Zig-Zag, che ne ordina l'arresto (mentre il ladro riesce a fuggire). Tacco viene condannato a morte, ma la giovane principessa Yum-Yum si impietosisce di lui e lo salva momentaneamente ordinando che sia lui a ripararle le scarpe.
