Trama
Nel luglio 1969 Tom Kidman, un agente speciale della CIA, è inviato a Londra per trovare Stanley Kubrick e convincerlo a girare un finto sbarco sulla Luna nel caso in cui la missione Apollo fallisse. Tom, però, non trova Kubrick ma Johnny, il manager da incubo di un gruppo rock. I due, per quanto assolutamente differenti non hanno altra scelta che lavorare insieme per portare a termine la loro missione e dare vita alla più grande truffa di tutti i tempi.
