Trama
Ryker è un prepotente che vuole impadronirsi di tutta la vallata. A questo scopo non esita a usare la violenza nei confronti dei coloni che gli si oppongono. Johnny Starrett è uno di loro. Un giorno ospita presso la propria casa uno sconosciuto, Shane, che si rivela essere un ottimo pistolero. Aiuterà i coloni a disfarsi di Ryker e poi se ne andrà per non creare complicazioni in famiglia a Johnny.
