Trama
Nel profondo sud, una donna di quarant'anni nevrotica e passionale tradisce il marito. L'amante, un riccone di Chicago, le offre il matrimonio, ma la donna è incinta e ha paura di rivelarglielo per non perderlo. Ma si ferisce gravemente e muore all'ospedale per le ferite, nonostante le cure del marito medico.
