Trama
In un piccolo teatro inglese in una fatidica notte durante la Seconda guerra mondiale una troupe di attori itineranti mette in scena il Re Lear di Shakespeare. Tutto sembra tranquillo fuori dal teatro ma nessuno ha visto l'attore e manager Sir, che interpreta Lear. Il suo sarto Norman cerca di mandare avanti il tutto sperando che Sir si presenti in tempo e non mandi all'aria lo spettacolo.
