Trama
Un documentario sulla realizzazione caotica e tragica di Fitzcarraldo, l'epico film di Werner Herzog, le cui riprese vennero portate a termine nonostante una serie di terribile di disavventure: l'abbandono del set da parte di due degli interpreti (Robards per motivi di salute e Mick Jagger per via di altri impegni), la guerra tra il Peru e l'Ecuador, le meteorologia avversa, gli innumerevoli incidenti di percorso.
