Trama
Un uomo di mezza età, Paul Manning, pur innamorato della moglie Ruth, si lascia convincere dall'amico Edward e decide di tradirla. Dopo essersi inventato varie scuse e aver trovato sia il locale notturno che il motel adatti allo scopo, scatta l'"operazione adulterio". Paul rivolge le sue attenzioni su una donna sposata, Joselyn Montgomery, ma l'amore per Ruth lo convince a desistere dai suoi propositi.
