Trama
Alla periferia di Dakar, Ada è combattuta tra l'uomo a cui è stata promessa come sposa e quello che realmente ama, il giovane operaio Souleimane. Una notte, Souleimane e i suoi colleghi scompaiono in mare. Eppure, poco dopo, tornano al loro vecchio quartiere per riprendersi le amate che hanno lasciato. Alcuni hanno voglia di vendicarsi e di dare fuoco alla città qualora i loro datori di lavoro non paghino i loro salari. Souleimane, invece, è tornato solo per Ada, per stare con lei un'ultima volta ancora.
