Trama
Robert Eliot, autorevole economista ad Harvard, svolge segretamente, a Londra, un'attività spionistica per conto di un influente politicante statunitense, presidente di una compagnia petrolifera. Questi gli offre un'importante carica, a patto che riesca a individuare e distruggere un'organizzazione di spie industriali composta da quattro persone che non si conoscono tra di loro. Con un piano geniale Robert li metterà l'uno contro l'altro e prenderà gusto nel fare il doppiogioco...
