Trama
Il nobiluomo Orlando è benvoluto dalla regina Elisabetta I (1533-1603) e, dopo la sua morte, si innamora di una principessa russa che però lo abbandona. Durante il regno di Guglielmo I (1689-1702) è ambasciatore in Medio Oriente, quando si trasforma in donna. Tornata in Inghilterra, Lady Orlando, nell'era vittoriana (1837-1901), trova l'uomo dei suoi sogni, ma questi la lascia. Nel 1992 è madre di una bambina.
