Trama
Lo scrittore Paul Sheldon ha appena terminato il suo ultimo romanzo. Al ritorno dall'albergo in cui si era volutamente isolato per lavoro ha un incidente d'auto ma viene tratto in salvo da Annie Wilkes, la sua "fan numero uno". Sfortunatamente Annie inizia a manifestare instabilità psichica, e ben presto Paul si renderà conto di essere in grave pericolo.
