Trama
James 'Brick' Davis (James Cagney) è stato raccolto dai bassifondi dal boss McKay (William Harrigan) che lo ha fatto studiare e diventare avvocato. Quando però un suo amico, agente federale, viene ucciso mentre dà la caccia ad un bandito, Davis decide di arruolarsi nella polizia federale, combattendo i capi delle varie bande.
