Trama
William F. Cody, in arte Buffalo Bill, gira per l'America alla guida del suo circo, per il quale è sempre alla ricerca di attrazioni. Richiamato dalla riserva il vecchio capo sioux Toro Seduto, lo ingaggia per una grottesca rievocazione della battaglia di Little Big Horn, con l'intento di ridicolizzare il mito del condottiero pellerossa: ma malgrado la sua apparente vittoria, sarà lui a doverne ricavare una lezione di vita.
