Trama
Il presidente degli Stati Uniti, Andrew Sheperd, rimasto vedovo da pochi anni, si innamora di Sidney Ellen, avvocato portavoce di un movimento ambientalista. Ricambiato dalla donna, il presidente però, si trova in difficoltà perchè lei non intende scendere a compromessi sulle sue rigide posizioni a difesa dell'ambiente.
