Richard Dreyfuss (New York, 29 ottobre 1947) è un attore statunitense. Ha recitato in ruoli cinematografici, televisivi e teatrali dalla fine degli anni '60, tra cui i film American Graffiti, Lo squalo, Incontri ravvicinati del terzo tipo, The Goodbye Girl, Stakeout, Always, What About Bob? e Opus di Mr. Holland. Ha vinto l'Oscar come miglior attore nel 1977 per The Goodbye Girl, ed è stato nominato nel 1995 per Opus di Mr. Holland. Ha anche vinto un Golden Globe, un BAFTA Award ed è stato nominato nel 2002 per gli Screen Actors Guild Awards nelle categorie Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series e Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.
