Trama
La vicenda di Enrico VIII e delle sue troppe mogli è stata raccontata molte volte. In questo caso l'attenzione del regista è concentrata sul rapporto tra il sovrano e Anna Bolena, la donna che finirà i suoi giorni decapitata, per ordine del re, nella Torre di Londra. Anche la nascita di Elisabetta, futura regina della Gran Bretagna, ha una parte rilevante nell'economia del racconto.
